First step is to troubleshoot. Work out what "isn't" the problem in order to narrow down the possibilities of what "is" causing the problem. Check hardware and driver settings to see that your soundcard is working correctly, does audio play through headphones or any other external speakers? If so, then its a problem with the internal speakers. These can be replaced if need be or may even be a loose connection.
