golf mk4 tailgate panel?

is it possible to remove the tailgate panel on a mk4 golf tdi whilst the boot is shut, the reason i ask is that i can't open it at present because the central lockings playing up?

not sure but if you can access all screws/fixings then it may pry off,only one way to find out is to give it a go,good luck.
