Problem with power in home?

What is happening? When I unplug and electric space heater from wall the power goes off in half of place. I can plug a hair dryer in same outlet the power comes on, but when I pull the plug it goes off again. The lights have been flickering more as well. I have at times had to reset the other wall socket and sometimes it comes back on. Where do I start for problem.

You start by getting an electrician in, its that sort of fault where fires are caused.plugging high power devices in to loose connections creates heat and fires are the result
