recording at a certain time?

Even using basic knowledge you should be able to get to the video menu, setup. Then look for recording time setting, failing that you try using an old blank tape and work your way through the general remote control buttons until you find what you want. if you dont have remote then try a replacement control. These do sometimes only have a limited function. without remote i think you'll find it very difficult to set up . Sorry if this is'nt useful. good luck.
