Mend Worcester Bosch 28i Junior Greenstar Boiler Heating Fault

worcester 28i junior green star combi boiler?

this boiler does not display any codes it is about 7 years old i had a look at it today fan does not come on pump runs all it does switch it on pilot light service light reset light eco light all come on then all go off together then the boiler tries to come on click clock noise then starts humming noise turn the hot tap on click clock noise again carries on humming noise no h/ water or c/h blue light starts flashing boiler carries on making humming noise thanks for the last reply sir

OK I don't know how experienced you are but on my boiler the fan bearing seized after 7 years. So my hunch is that this is the problem. If you can get someone to take the fan out, with no electricity a good one will spin freely with no noise and I would guess yours will be stiff and difficult to turn. Either buy a new fan, or it is possible to replace the bearings. It's quite nasty having a fan not working so I suggest you get it done before using it; gas residues are not extracted from the boiler.
