Mend Power Devil Petrol Mower

power devil petrol lawn mower Starting Problems?

I've had my Power Devil petrol lawn mower for quite a few years and its never failed me until today. What happen is i put the switch in start position and pull the the cord and the mower starts up but it splutters but continues to tick over but soon as i put the lever to fast to start cutting the mower just cuts out completely. Any help on this matter would be great.
