power devil 3.5hp lawn mower?

will not start, has spark , fresh fuel not sure if pilot jet is clear ,how can i check

I have a power devil lawn mower it is hard to start. when I get it to started and when i stop it. It wont start agine I have removed the spark plug and its is wet with fuel

ensure petrol is turned on (front left) check you have the right spark plug and the clearance is correct, check the breather hoses are not clogged with white gunk from the oil, ensure that theair filter is clean, you can remove the sponge and rinse it in soapy water and allow to dry thoroughly all being well it should start with a few good tugs. happy mowing!

I too have a similar problem, I took the lawn mower to a hardware shop for them to take a look at, they told me that the mower needs a spark generator, but unsure what I need to find to repair this. So if anyone can help It would be much appreciated

Is the petrol fresh? If it hasn't been used in a while it may have 'gone off'. I've got the same model and changing the petrol worked last year (still took many angry pulls of the cord to get it going mind you). This year however it worked twice but has now packed up and petrol is peeing out of the carburettor when i try to start it. So it's in bits on the garage floor at the mo...
