Mend Alfa Romeo 146 Working Work Air

my heater has stopped working in the Alfa Romeo 146?

In my Alfa Romeo 146 the heating does not work, the air vent are only blowing cold air. The mechanic has replaced the thermostate and still it does not work.

What will be the next step, will it be to replace the heater matrix?

Can anyone help

only replace matrix if its leaking?signs are a wet carpet.the other option hopefully is the actual heater control dial.make normally cable operated,make sure this cable is opening the heat valve,the heat dial may turn itself but may not be pulling the cable to open the valve.
