I have an Electrolux EOC68000X oven which comes with a red LCD display. The problem is that when the oven heats up the display fades and you cant view the text/menu. Has anyone else faced a similar problem?
On calling electrolux they say the display unit is faulty and needs to be replaced costing £255 + engineer charges. Is there a less expensive solution?
I have the same model and the same problem. Disappointed with Electrolux & AEG. Quality not as good as what it once was..
I got quoted £190. The part itself is easy to remove yourself.

no way to sort this other than replace.Do what other people do.Take out an insurance on the cooker,wait a few months then report a fault.Just make sure it's a new for old policy
