Mend Thetford Start Pump Wash

thetford toilet?

i have a hymer motorhome1989 which has a thetford toilet ,when i start the water pump to get water into the wash basin the toilet also flushes and evan though i depress the foot pedal on the toilet it still does not stop the water from going down the toilet ,also water is leaking from the rear of the toilet ,is there anyway i can repair this problem without a great expense .thanks

As far as I know the toilets take the flush water off the main m/home fresh water tank via a none return valve and the none return valve may be faulty. Take a look at thetford website www.thetford-europe.com down load their repair manual it covers all thetford sanitation models. Its under Service. seek and ye shall find. this is only a fault guess by the way.
