Mend Hotpoint WD860 Washer Machine Fine

how can i fix my hotpoint ultima washer dryer WD860?

the machine washes fine but when it starts the drying cycle it makes a grinding noise and has to be switched off

It sometimes keeps washing although the time states one minute remaining. Also it sometimes does not full rinse away all the water so that when the door is opened a lot of water spills out. Any help appreciated.

hi ken if you remove the lid i think you will find the fan on the dryer motor is touching something,on these they sometimes shake loose so it may need tightening up anymore questions msdapudsey1@msn.com
