Mend Iveco 0811 Engine Truck

engine not turning off?

Hi, I have a 1988 iveco cargo 0811 which when I switch the ignition off the engine keeps running, so I have to stall it to stop engine running.

could be debris between solenoid plunger and its seating holding valve open.make sure there is no electrical feed to solenoid with ign off,with no electric feed to it the valve should close due to spring acting on plunger.remove solenoid check spring and plunger clean out seating.
