how can i fix the detergent dispener?

Dishlex global 300
After the dishwasher has finished washing and I open the door the detergent flap is still closed and the wash powder is still inside. The dishes haven't washed properly. I have cleaned around the flap opening etc and the latch still moves but it wont open when washing.
Can it be fixed???
