Mend Electrolux ESL 6251 Dishwasher Heating Element Repair

Dishwasher ESL 6251?

My dishwasher is not heating. It gos through the normal cicle. Have taken the heater out and testet the contacts, seem to be ok. I'm thinking of puting live 230V to it and see if it gets hot bevore puting it back any expierience on this?

if it is the round element don't connect it without water going through it as it will fuse the safety stat rendering it useless.put a multimeter across the heater terminals and it should be around 29ohms if good.Also check the pcb tracking and heater relay for bad solder joints
