I'd check the air filter first to eliminate that. If it is filthy and clogged fit a new one. The depollution light should go out after covering some good mileage at normal speeds when any unburnt hydrocarbons burn off from the lambda sensor(s).
If you've been using supermarket fuel then try a couple of tankfuls of Shell V-Power or BP Ultimate instead.
If it is not the air-filter then if the car is misfiring you could have spark plug or coil pack issues. A diagnostic machine would enable the fault codes to be read and save you money pinpointing the fault. However, I'd check the air-filter first as this is cheap and easy to replace.
