Mend Vaillant VCW GB 242 Boiler Leak Heating

My 18 year old Vaillant VCW GB 242?

The boiler has started losing a lot of water & needs topping up at least once a week.
I have been advised by a plumber that there must a leak somewhere in the pipework under the floorboards.Is it at all possible the boiler could be at fault ?.

Vaillant Vaillant VCW GB 242 Heating, Home Heating Systems Boiler Leak Heating

Check expansion vessel (flat) .empty boiler. With a foot pump repressurise expansion vessel, refill boiler. Make sure no water drips from the pressure relief valve. Sorted.

have check pressure relief valve pipe going out from boiler any sign of water ,if change valve,if not look out for rads and pipes
