Cleaned it as suggested and still the same symptom. It was the On/off switch that was bad..The power was getting to the unit as shown with the start up screen..
The switch was just not turning it on..I took a start up switch to an old PC and drilled a hole on the top of the grey cover and fed it to the 2 terminals soldered on the the electronic board where the on/ off switch is..So now I use the new button to turn the unit on and off..
It is only functional and the button is on top to be able to turn it on..It worked and I don't need to buy another one..!!
