Worcester Bosch 240 combi boiler, ?

My boiler won't fire up, the pilot light won't come on consequently I don't have any heating or hot water and its freezing, plus we have two young children and British gas won't come out to fix it, help!
The overheat thermostat reset button is pressed in and won't pop out to let me reset it, can anyone please help.
