Mend Vauxhall Zafira Tank Petrol

vauxhall zafira expansion tank stat?

my expansion tank in the vauxhall zafira 07 petrol 1.6,the thermostat in the tank is stuck and i cant refil the tank,the screw cap has come away from the thermostat....how do i get the stat out with out damaging the plastic tank ?

yes,but it wont budge and looks like the top of a thermostat that is stuck in the tank,the cap is in 1 piece,but would have been together as it is an external screw type thread on the neck of the tank

I very much doubt there is a thermostat in your expansion tank,has the cap split in two and left 1/2 of it in the tank top?
