ford fiesta 1.4dieselwont start?

 my girlfriends ford fiesta 1.4 diesel 55 plate was driving fine one minute no signs of spluttering etc then when she went to start it again it wouldnt start, ive taken the feed off goin to the fuel filter and turned the engine over and theres no fuel gettin there, any ideas what it could be?

have you tried priming the fuel system with the hand primer on on o/s of engine,if you remove the air filter assy and look under where the fuel pipes run,they are bad for chaffing through there and drawing air,resulting in bad starting
