How to fix a light pull cord?

I pulled the cord for my light in my shower room and the cord snapped in my hand. I took the cap off then the inner part with the screws and a load of parts fell onto the floor and i cant put them back together as i dont know how to attatch them.

Get a new light socket. They don't cost that much.

VERY IMPORTANT! CRITICAL SAFETY STEP!!!
Switch the breaker for the sower room OFF, or remove the fuse.

Remove the actual socket.
Install the new socket.
If needed, attach a longer pull cord.
Screw the bulb in.
Switch the breaker ON or put back the fuse.
