Mend Zanussi TC 470 Tumble Dryer Drum Seal

How can I stop my Zanussi tc 470 from screeching?

My Zanussi TC 470 has developed an intermittent screeching sound as the drum revolves. This is NOT the drive belt. It appears to come from the seal around the drum. Can I just lubricate it or must I replace it?
