Mend Leisure 110-5432 Cooker Replacement Electric

Leisure rangemaster electric 110-5432 replacement griddle element?

Please help. How do you remove the top hob griddle element of the leisure rangemaster 110-5432 electric. The old one has split and I have the new element, but no-one seems to know how to replace. The element(the one under the griddle hot plate ) seems to be on a hinge and when you take out the central screw it is still attached the hinge.
Any help appreciated thank you

take the back off the cooker.undo the element and connections (take pic or make note) in the back then pull the whole thing out from inside
