How can I fix my Potterton Netaheat 10/16 gas central heating boiler?

I have a similar problem which has only recently occured & is intermittent.

Occasionally the fan operates as normal but the boiler fails to light, I can sometimes get round the problem by turning the timer OFF, waiting 30sec or so, and turning it back ON.

The sequence begins with the fan ON followed by 20sec interval before the boiler fires up, I can hear 1 loud click and 3 fainter clicks (I think these are the ignition).

Have you solved your problem - if so I'd be interested to hear how, I dont want to throw good money at an old boiler and plan to replace it after winter if possible - unless I can repair it!
