washing cycle going on for hours?

Very difficult from what you say, some part of the cycle is taking time, but which, how fast does it fill, how long to heat water, how long to empty. Does water fill seem slow, check filter on inlet. Does it take a long time to heat the water, don't forget, will take longer in winter, due to water being colder. How fast does it empty, check outlet filter etc, most will empty a few times in the cycle. You need to check,which part of the cycle is the problem. Take notes.
