Mend Siemens RDJ10RF Temperature Control Day

Temperature control Siemens RDJ10RF?

This must be one of the worst controllers I've ever used. Am I correct in saying I can only have two time slots each day to go on and off and the temperature is kept at a level setting per my own preference day symbol and night symbol. Incidentally how does the transmitter establish day temp and then night temp? I'm not a silly person but duuuuh!!!!
