Curly light?

Hi out driving my mondeo tdci and all of a sudden the curly light came on and car as loss of power . Light doesn't flash but stays on

Just been back out to have a look the curly light flashes but wen I uncliped the plug from the egr valve it runs fine and no light comes on

it will need to go onto a code reader to determine what your problem is,if all your filters and servicing are up to date then it is impossible to determine your fault and just guessing could cost a fortune.
