Can not get any gear but 1st & 2nd?

look where the selector rod goes into the top of the g/box,if there is a lot of brown residue around it then it may be seized,try plenty of penetrating fluid and work it back and forth in 1st and 2nd.It may take a while but persevere and hopefully it will gradually free off.Apply plenty of lubricant and keep applying it through the year and you wont get it seizing up again.
