Mend Kenmore 665 Wash

Door won't latch or close?

Have a kenmore Ultra Wash 665 Series and the door won't close or latch, worked fine yesterday. Seemed that the metal piece on the inside part was bent down and was hitting the main door, so I bent it back up straight so that it fit into the locking slot, but still won't latch. Can't find a picture of what the correct position is supposed to look like, is there something else I can try
HELP... I do not want to do dishes by hand!!
