Peugeot 206 semi auto 2006 gear leaver sticking?

Hi there have a Peugeot 206 semi automatic 2006 model and has always been a struggle now and then to get out of park usually pressing on brake 2 or 3 times before the gear stick will move. But has now got a lot worse over time and does this all the time and takes a lot of goes to get out of park. If anyone can help would really appreciate it thanls
