Mend Singer Futura Sewing Machine Threading Bobbin

threading the bobbing for singer futura?

There is a squire (+) indent on the bottom side of the bobbing . I would like to know what goes in that indent. The steel roundish bit on which the bobbing rests to rotate has a hole with nothing in it. If some one can let me know what that small bit is.
