Mend DVD Player Display Time

How can i get the clock to display on the machine on standby?

The clock always displayed when the machine was on standby, it has disappeared and only shows the time left on the disc have i accidentally pressed a button to remove it?

Some models will do this if there is a power saving option that is switched on.
