why is my boiler buzzing ?

Pipes must be frozen that's the overflow pipe,needs blow drier to defrost

My Baxi Boiler is 3yrs old too and has just exhibited this fault, Drives us made.
I too had a boiler Eng come out and he did not have a clue. my Guess is that it is the relay chattering and not switcing over. From A web search I notice that Baxi have upgraded their PCB from a 231711 to a 231711BAX. Perhaps they are aware of a pcb fault? Can anyone confiorm this?

hi jim No its still playing up but it is buzzing for longer now plumber had a look surprise surprise no noise,baxi wanted to charge £299 for a service call i declined i have been told it could be the circuit board £100 plus fitting.Wouldnt mind but its only 3 years old let me know how you get on with yours in the meantime i will try to get hold of one of those polish plumbers they are all on about !cheers !

hi Alan,
we have exactly the same problem.
We told the guy who installed it and he's been round a couple of times but.....suprise suprise it's never made the noise when he's been round. I thought it sounded like a relay was switching on and off really quickly but it's so loud.
It does sound exactly like one of those hand buzzer things.
Have you managed to get it sorted?

Thanks mike, hard to pin down exactly where its coming from, its very loud and sounds like one of those hand shockers you used to get from joke shops,think its time for some open wallet surgery get a plumber in ! thanks again.
