how can I fix my compaq presario 2200?

Recently I had a new laptop, so I stopped using my old compaq presario 2200 and then a week later I tried to switch on the compaq presario 2200 but it will not boot, it only shows three lights. Two lights goes off then the other light also goes off but aptop not booting, fan starts turning then goes dead all of a sudden, any time I try to boot the laptop the same thing happens..please I need help to fix my laptop..thanks in advance
