Mend Sony KP-53S65 Burning Smell Inside

My 53" projection tv went out...has no picture or sound and a burning smell?

When my tv went out, a burnt smell came from inside the set and it now has no picture or sound. (Model # KP-53S65) Sony COLOR REAR VIDEO PROJECTOR (1998)

Let it dry out for a while. there probably is humidity in it. unplug it. and let it sit for about a week.
