The control panel on my Zanussi 1400 washing machine won't light up?

After several power failures in my block of flats - when I last reset the main electricity fuse for my flat - the power light on my machine works - but none of the lights on the control/selection panel are lit - so I can't select any programs....any ideas anyone?
