Mend LG WM2277H Bearings Drum Repair

Bearings are out on my LG Washer model WM2277H?

I was told by the appliance tech that two parts would need to be replaced the outer drum and the inner drum. I read on another website that stated the outer drum could be replaced with a new shaft support. I'm confused and would like to do this repair myself and save $800. What parts do I need?
