Mend Sanyo Plus55 Time Work Shut

Sanyo Plus Series Plus55 Amp receiver?

I have a Sanyo Plus Series Plus55 Amp receiver. When I tried it out for the first time it seemed to work fine for about a minute or so then it shut off. I can still turn it on but no sound will come out and teh display is really dark. It seems like it is not getting enough power. Does anyone know how I can repair this? Thank You.
