help on glow worm cxi model ?

my glowworm cxi (i think 30) displayed the red light and a message F3. when i turned it off the screen went blank. there is some valve movements when i switch it back on, but no display and no message lights.
i have the feeling there is no electrics going into the unit.
any ideas?
