Mend Nextra Flashing Light Hours

Nextra flashing light?

Having taken 3 hours to finally fit a new handle, spring and latch mechanism to my Nextra washing machine the door now opens and closes fine. The only issue is that the start light just flashes and i don't have the door locked led. There seems to be plenty of tension on the latch, could it be too much?
