Mend Vauxhall MK5 Rev Gear Clutch

astra mk5?

my astra will not rev past 2500 while driving and also static out of gear with the clutch fully out but with the clutch depressed it revs normally. Virtually cuts out. Do you think the gearbox is on the point of seizing/ lack of oil/ old oil. Any ideas?
