how to repair ring ?

i have a neff schott ceran hob but one ring has stopped working can it be repaired it is typeHMETC770

if it has stopped working, the element is gone, just replace it with a new ring, try ebay for a new one of the same power and size/shape, have all the power going to the hob off when working on it,
