Mend Maytag MAH650AWW Spin Fine

Why does the Maytag Neptune Washer MAH650AWW not spin?

I have a washer that is 2 years old. Everything works fine through the rinse cycle except it does not enter the spin cycle. It gets stuck in starting to spin but does not. The clock time stays at about 7 minutes remaining.

Has anyone seen this before and what can be done to successfully repair it?
