how can i repair my bosch vac cleaner 1700w?

brush rollers is not working properly. it switchs off and on when hoovering. is there a sensor somewhere to tell it that the brush head is down and to start turning. anyone know where i can get a manual on how to take it apart and where parts are. thanks
