how can i fix my memory stick?

i was using my memory stick which has all my work on, which i haven't saved anywhere else. As i tried to remove it from my laptop the usb plug stayed attached but the rest of the memory stick was left in my hand.

Hi Sharon- just glue the two bits back together. You can't do much harm to the circuity if you are careful and dont break anything on the board.

I have seen a bare USB pendrive just wrapped with duct tape after this happened- worked fine.
