hi.My Indesit 101 washing machine won't complete a rinse/spin cycle?

Hi.My Indesit 101 won't complete the rinse/spin cycle.It starts its initial wash ok,but once it gets to the rinse,the light begins to flash and the dial keeps clicking round.On the spin setting,it starts as normal,then slows down,and the dial starts clicking round again.It seems to empty ok,but while the dial is turning,it sounds like it's still trying to pump out more water.I've tried cleaning the filter,but there was nothing there...just water.Any ideas?I'd be greatful for any help.
