Mend Kenwood Hinges Stay See

HINGES .wont stay in see below?

the lower oven door on my kenwood ck230 keeps coming out of the lower hinges when i try to replace them in there sockets or grooves. I took the door off to renew the element. TypeCUM CK230. the top part of the hinge has to be pushed down very firmly then clicks in.when I try to insert the bottom part of the hinge it wont stay in HELP.

You should be able to "lock" the hinge to enable you to refit it easily :- put door on table and press down on long part of hinge (top arm) till it is fully compressed then move the little "T" shaped tab forward to catch the arm and hold it in locked position, do same with other hinge arm. Then enter top arms in oven housing they will fit easily if you have locked it correctly, then enter lower arms in housing until they drop down slightly, they have a little slot that fits over the socket edge. Then when these have located open the door and the locking tabs for the top arms will automatically release- job done Cheers
