Pilot light keeps going out on our Baxi Solo 2 PF?

Hi, we have had no hot water or central heating since Wednesday and would like some help in identifying what to check next. Having called a central heating firm on Friday and explaining the problem they advised we bleed the rads to see if there is any air in the system. We have done this and there was very little air which has meant no change to situation. Problems we are having are:
Pilot light on Baxi Solo 2 PF (Wall mounted Powered Flue Gas type G20,Natural Gas) keeps going out and 'overheat' light is on.
After re-setting system and switching central heating /water on, loud banging noise in pipes and hot water tank occurs- after a few minutes this stops but pilot light has gone out again!
Or if hot water tap is turned on a loud kettling noise and banging occurs (seems to come from the hot water tank in the airing cupboard). We only get tepid warm water and the pilot light goes out!
We have checked the ball cock in the cold water tank situated in the loft and when this is depressed it makes a loud kettling sound?
At a loss as to what to check next, can anyone help?

this can also be caused by air been traped in pipes near to the boiler not allowing for free flow off water from boiler ,this causes boiler to heat rapidy and cause boiler to start banging and cause the overheat stat to cut off the pilot

check pipework rises up and there is a air tap at the highest point this may be on radator or somstimes if there is a motoized valve in the cylinder cuboard there will be a small air tap above it or at the highest point

hi there sounds a lot like the fault i had,i stay in arelatively new estate and all houses were fitted with solo 2pf boilers
needless to say quite a few have gone wrong most recently my neighbours we sussed out it might be the control circuit board and changed it which was quite straightforward,no more probs, then my heating gave me almost identical probs so took bull by horns and bought a new circuit board £160

sorted no more probs might be worth a try

when you bled the rads did water come out or did the air just stop? if water came out then it sounds like your pump has gone, just see if you can feel it vibrate when you turn the heating on
