Mend Delonghi DW47S/W Beeping Cycle Water

How can I fix my delongi dishwasher which has stopped with an E2 beeping? ?

My dishwasher has stop in the middle of a cycle beeping E2. according to the manuel it is a water drain problem. Does that mean the drain pump is had it or could it be someting simpler?? It is a DW47S/W
