ryobi plt2543 starts but dies wheen revved?

Try adjusting the idle screw. check that spark plug. re-gap spark spacing using utility knife blade thickness for gap. if all else fails, do what i did use a mini-moto carb. baring in mind you'll end up fitting it upside down and will have to replace the throttle cable with a rigged up cable. oh and one last thing you'll have to re-hole the fuel ring liner behind the carb and the engine. trust me it works. your Ryobi will have a little more kick. hope this was helpful.. :-)
